Psalms Chapter 47

תקעו כף — התערבו יחד זה עם זה להריע לאלהים בקול רנה:

ידבר עמים תחתינו — יתן דבר בעובדי כוכבים תחת נפשנו להיו' חמתו מתקררת בהם ואלו נצולים כענין שנאמ' ונתתי כפרך מצרים וגו' (ישעיהו מ״ג:ג׳), ומנחם חבר ידבר ל' הנהגה:

יבחר לנו וגו' — ויחזירנו לתוכה ואז יתעלה בתרועה וקול שופ' שנתקע לפניו בשיר על עולות וזבחים שלמים ונאמר זמרו אלהים וגו':

מלך אלהים על גוים — כך יאמרו הכל:

ישב על כסא קדשו — עכשיו הכסא שלם ובגדולה ניכרת ויגידו כי נאספו לעירו:

נדיבי עמים — שהתנדבו עצמם לטבח ולהרוג על קדושת שמו:

עם אלהי אברהם — שהיה נדיב לב הראשון תחלה לגרים עתה נודע כי לאלהים מגיני ארץ היכולת בידו להיות למגן על כל הבוטחים בו:

Gone up — Now it depicts how this Great King can accept this kingship that the nations coronate Him, and He is exalted now from His previous habit that He had before He was coronated at the word of His creatures, this is the Mighty Kingship [המלכות העצום], to a different habit more exalted and uplifted than the first state! For the habit of God at this time will be sometimes by means of the name Elohim, which is at the times that He rules by the habits of nature. And sometimes it will be by means of the Tetragrammaton, and that is at the time that He rules by the miracles and the wonders; and this habit is because of Israel, and is called then in the name of "our King" or "our Rescuer", "the God of Israel", "the God of Ya'akov" [אלהי ישראל, אלהי יעקב], "the Holy One of Israel" and so on. But then these two habits will be lifted up and exalted with a great exaltation, for by means of this shout that they crowned Him with God is gone up, gone up in His habit with which He ruled by the name Elokim, for nature shall be changed then into a nature lifted up from its previous state, like it is written "behold I will create new heavens and a new earth" (Yeshayahu 65:17), which is to say His habit of miracles which is by means of the Tetragrammaton, that there will be miracles and wonders, and they will be more constant than the ones before, and it is explained by means that Elohim will go up in a shout.
