- 1D'un animal dépouillé vivant de sa peau Un animal dépouillé vivant de la peau, soit par le fait de l’homme, soit par suite d'une maladie, est immangeable, à moins qu'il n’en reste une partie de la grandeur d'un « selà » sur la colonne vertébrale, une partie semblable sur le nombril, et autant aux articulations. Si une partie de la peau de cette grandeur a été enlevée à une des trois régions indiquées, l'animal est mangeable si le reste de la peau est intacte. G LOSE : Mais si la peau a été enlevée à toutes les trois régions indiquées, alors même que le reste en est intact, l'animal est immangeable.
- 2Une volaille dépouillée de ses plumes est mangeable. G LOSE : D'aucuns la déclarent immangeable. Il convient d’être sévère, si toutes les plumes ont été enlevées. Mais elle est mangeable, si la chute de toutes ses plumes est due à son état graisseux.

הגלודה אסורה והיא שנפשט עורה בין בידי אדם בין בידי חולי טריפה ואם נשתייר מן העור רוחב סלע על פני כל השדרה ורוחב סלע על הטבור ורוחב סלע על ראשי איבריה הרי זו מותרת (רמב"ם ורשב"א ור"ן ורוב הפוסקים) ואם ניטל כרוחב סלע מעל כל גבי השדרה או מעל הטבור או מעל ראשי איברים ושאר כל העור קיים כשרה: הגה אבל אם ניטלה משלשתם ושאר כל העור קיים טריפה (ד"ע):
