- 1Whether it is permitted to roast two bundles of grain together and the laws of karmel (roasted grain). Containing 3 paragraphs: It is permitted to roast two bundles of grain together, and we are not concerned that perhaps moisture will pass from one to the other, as they are fruit juices and they do not cause leavening.
- 2Vitika, which is a dish made from oil and salt with flour, is permitted, provided that it does not contain water. Rema: And according to our custom, which is to be stringent with fruit juices, this too is forbidden.

אם מותר לחרוך שני שבלים יחד ודיני כרמל. ובו ג סעיפים:
מותר לחרוך שני שבלים ביחד ולא חיישינן שמא יצאו מים מאחת לחברתה שהם מי פירות ואינם מחמיצין:
ותיקא שהוא תבשיל העשוי משמן ומלח עם קמח מותר והוא שלא יהא בו מים: הגה ולדידן שנוהגים להחמיר במי פירות גם זה אסור:
כרמל שמהבהבין אותו באור וטוחנין אותו אין מבשלים הקמח שלו במים שמא לא נקלה באור יפה ונמצא מחמיץ כשמבשלים אותו וכן כשמוללין הקדירו' החדשות (פי' שנותני' קמח לתוך המאכל להקפות) אין מבשלין בהם אלא מצה אפויה שחזרו וטחנו אותה:
