Verse 1
הוי ארץ צלצל כנפים — ת"י דאתן לה בספינון מארעא רחיקא וקלעיהון פריסן כנשרא דטאיס בכנפוהי, אני אומר לפי שהן שרוין במזרח והארץ חמה העופות נאספים שם והיא מצולצלת בכנפי עופות ונבואה זו על אוכלוסי גוג ומגוג כענין שנא' (ביחזקאל ל״ח:ה׳) פרס כוש ופוט אתם:
Verse 2
לכו מלאכים קלים — לראות אם אמת הוא שחזרו ישראל למקומ' אשר הוא ה' גוי ממושך וממורט אל עם אשר הוא היה נורא בחזקתו:
מן הוא והלאה — מן היום אשר נבחר לעם והלאה:
גוי קו קו — שנפרע בו בעונו מדה במדה וניתן למבוסה, ד"א קו קו ל' קיא סחי ומאוס (איכה ג):
נהרים — מושלי כוש ונוף:
Verse 3
כל יושבי תבל וגו' — אינכם צריכים לשלוח צירים על כך כי כנשוא נס הרים תראו בהקבץ הגליות וכתקוע שופר תשמעו:
Verse 4
אשקטה — מתשלום שכרו של גוג אפנה מכל עסקי ואביטה במכוני להטיב לו:
כחום צח עלי אור — יאיר ויבהיק לו כחם השמש צח על ירק כמו ללקט אורות (מלכים ב ד׳:ל״ט):
כעב טל — שהקוצרים מתאוים לו להשיב נפש בחם קציר:
Verse 5
כי לפני — בישול קצירו של עמלק ושל גוג טרם תמלא תאותו וסברו שהוא זומם לכלות את אחיו:
כתם פרח — שלו ויתקרב להתבשל תבואה במלילותיה ולהיות פגי נצה של גפנה בוסר וגומל נגמל להיות גסים כפול הלבן, הוא בוסר הוא גירוע:
וכרת — הכורת את זלזלי הגפן הם הזמורות והשריגים:
במזמרות — שרפ"ש בלע"ז:
ואת הנטישות — הם עיקרי הגפנים שקורין ציפ"ש בלע"ז:
התז — כרת וקצץ כלומ' יהרוג השרים והשליטים של גוג וחיילותיו ועוזריו:
Verse 6
יעזבו יחדו — פגריהם:
לעיט הרים — לעוף הרים:
וקץ עליו — כל ימות הקיץ:
תחרף — כל ימות החורף מכאן אמרו משפט גוג לעתיד לבוא שנים עשר חדש:

ה֥וֹי אֶ֖רֶץ צִלְצַ֣ל כְּנָפָ֑יִם אֲשֶׁ֥ר מֵעֵ֖בֶר לְנַהֲרֵי־כֽוּשׁ׃
Ah, land in the deep shadow of wings, Beyond the rivers of Cush!
הַשֹּׁלֵ֨חַ בַּיָּ֜ם צִירִ֗ים וּבִכְלֵי־גֹ֘מֶא֮ עַל־פְּנֵי־מַ֒יִם֒ לְכ֣וּ׀ מַלְאָכִ֣ים קַלִּ֗ים אֶל־גּוֹי֙ מְמֻשָּׁ֣ךְ וּמוֹרָ֔ט אֶל־עַ֥ם נוֹרָ֖א מִן־ה֣וּא וָהָ֑לְאָה גּ֚וֹי קַו־קָ֣ו וּמְבוּסָ֔ה אֲשֶׁר־בָּזְא֥וּ נְהָרִ֖ים אַרְצֽוֹ׃
Go, swift messengers, To a nation far and remote, To a people thrust forth and away — A nation of gibber and chatter — Whose land is cut off by streams; Which sends out envoys by sea, In papyrus vessels upon the water!
כׇּל־יֹשְׁבֵ֥י תֵבֵ֖ל וְשֹׁ֣כְנֵי אָ֑רֶץ כִּנְשֹׂא־נֵ֤ס הָרִים֙ תִּרְא֔וּ וְכִתְקֹ֥עַ שׁוֹפָ֖ר תִּשְׁמָֽעוּ׃ {ס}
[Say this:] “All you who live in the world And inhabit the earth, When a flag is raised in the hills, take note! When a ram’s horn is blown, give heed!”
כִּי֩ כֹ֨ה אָמַ֤ר יְהֹוָה֙ אֵלַ֔י (אשקוטה) [אֶשְׁקֳטָ֖ה] וְאַבִּ֣יטָה בִמְכוֹנִ֑י כְּחֹ֥ם צַח֙ עֲלֵי־א֔וֹר כְּעָ֥ב טַ֖ל בְּחֹ֥ם קָצִֽיר׃
For thus G OD said to me: “I rest calm and confident “to rely” (Job 6.19). The related noun mabbaṭ occurs with similar meaning in Isa. 20.5, 6. in My habitation— Like a scorching heat upon sprouts, Like a rain-cloud in the heat of reaping time.”
כִּֽי־לִפְנֵ֤י קָצִיר֙ כְּתׇם־פֶּ֔רַח וּבֹ֥סֶר גֹּמֵ֖ל יִֽהְיֶ֣ה נִצָּ֑הֿ וְכָרַ֤ת הַזַּלְזַלִּים֙ בַּמַּזְמֵר֔וֹת וְאֶת־הַנְּטִישׁ֖וֹת הֵסִ֥יר הֵתַֽז׃
For before the harvest, yet after the budding, When the blossom has hardened into berries, [God] will trim away the twigs with pruning hooks, And lop off the trailing branches.
יֵעָזְב֤וּ יַחְדָּו֙ לְעֵ֣יט הָרִ֔ים וּֽלְבֶהֱמַ֖ת הָאָ֑רֶץ וְקָ֤ץ עָלָיו֙ הָעַ֔יִט וְכׇל־בֶּהֱמַ֥ת הָאָ֖רֶץ עָלָ֥יו תֶּחֱרָֽף׃ {ס}
They shall all be left To the kites of the hills And to the beasts of the earth; The kites shall summer on them And all the beasts of the earth shall winter on them.
בָּעֵת֩ הַהִ֨יא יוּבַל־שַׁ֜י לַיהֹוָ֣ה צְבָא֗וֹת עַ֚ם מְמֻשָּׁ֣ךְ וּמוֹרָ֔ט וּמֵעַ֥ם נוֹרָ֖א מִן־ה֣וּא וָהָ֑לְאָה גּ֣וֹי׀ קַו־קָ֣ו וּמְבוּסָ֗ה אֲשֶׁ֨ר בָּזְא֤וּ נְהָרִים֙ אַרְצ֔וֹ אֶל־מְק֛וֹם שֵׁם־יְהֹוָ֥ה צְבָא֖וֹת הַר־צִיּֽוֹן׃ {פ}
In that time, Tribute shall be brought to G OD of Hosts [From] a people far and remote, From a people thrust forth and away— A nation of gibber and chatter, Whose land is cut off by streams— At the place where the name of G OD of Hosts abides, At Mount Zion.
