How many pages are in the Talmud?

The Daf Yomi cycle covers 2,711 folios of the Babylonian Talmud, one each day. A full cycle takes about seven and a half years.

Why does every tractate start on page 2?

In the printed Talmud every tractate begins on folio 2; the first folio is the title page.
