דין הבכור אחר שחיטה ושאינו יכול למכרו ולא לשוחט ועד שיפול בו מום. ובו ג' סעיפים:
אין מרגילין בבכור דהיינו להפשיט עורו שלם דרך מרגלותיו:
שחטו ונמצא טריפה עורו עם בשרו אסור בהנאה וטעון קבורה: (ולכן טוב למכרו לעובד כוכבים קודם שחיטה) (הגהות מרדכי פ' האשה וכ"כ הב"י בשם תשובה אשכנזית והיא בתשובת מהרי"ל):
צריך הכהן לשהותו ולגדלו לעולם עד שיפול בו מום ויכול למכרו אפילו לישראל אע"פ שהוא תמים והלוקח ינהוג בו קדושת בכור בד"א שהלוקח קונה אותו לצרכו אבל אסור לעשות בו סחורה דהיינו לקנותו כדי להרויח ואם קנאו לצרכו ולא נצטרך לו יכול לחזור ולמכרו:
