    1. 1Laws of bran on Passover One may not soak bran for chickens under any circumstances, nor may one scald it. Rema: When giving them barley or wheat to eat, one should be careful not to throw them in a wet place where they might become leavened.
    2. 2A woman may not rub bran on her skin, even if it is dry.
    3. 3If one rubbed bran on a goose that is wet from water, there are those who say the goose is forbidden. Rema: And this is the custom regarding the prohibition of chametz, which applies even in the smallest amount. One should be careful not to singe fowl with straw, lest there be wheat or leavened grain there that would impart flavor to the fowl during the singeing.
