- 1The law of Chametz found in an Israelite's shop where the workers are non-Jews, or vice versa. And it contains one paragraph:
- 2A shop of an Israelite, and the Melai (explanation: the merchandise and the shop's vessels) belongs to an Israelite, and the workers entering there are non-Jews, Chametz found there after Pesach is forbidden for any benefit. A shop of a non-Jew, and the Melai belongs to a non-Jew, and the workers entering there are Israelites, Chametz found there is permitted even for eating. This is the version of Rashi and Rabbenu Hai, but Rabbenu Chananel holds the opposite version.
