- 1Laws of the blessing over an eruv. Contains 1 section It is a mitzva to take care to arrange partnership of alleyways, and one recites the blessing "on the mitzva of eruv" and says "through this partnership all the residents of the alleyway shall be permitted to carry in and out between the courtyards and the alleyway (and from them to the houses) (Beit Yosef in the name of the Shebolei Leket) on Shabbat." When does one recite the blessing? At the time he collects it from the alleyway residents or at the time he transfers ownership to them. Rema: If they collected it for the purpose of the eruv and forgot and did not recite the blessing over it, it is a valid eruv since the blessing does not invalidate it. מצוה לחזור אחר שיתופי מבואו' ומברך עליו על מצו' עירוב ואומר בזה השיתוף יהיה מותר לכל בני המבוי להוציא ולהכניס מחצירו' למבוי (ומהם לבתים) (ב"י בשם שבילי לקט) בשבת אימתי מברך עליו בשעה שמקבץ אותו מבני המבוי או בשעה שמזכה להם: הגה ואם גבו אותו לשם עירוב ושכחו ולא ברכו עליו הוי עירוב כי אין הברכה מעכבת (אגור ושבולי לקט) עססי' שס"ו:
