- 1Celui qui voit une idole de Mercure (Merkoulis) ou d'autres formes d'idolâtrie dit : Baroukh ata Adonaï Eloheïnou melekh ha'olam ché-natan érekh appaïm la'ovré rétsono. (Béni sois-Tu, Éternel notre Dieu, Roi du monde, qui accorde patience à ceux qui transgressent Sa volonté.) Et s'il l’a déjà vue dans les 30 derniers jours, il ne récite pas de nouveau la bénédiction. Note du Réma : De nos jours, on ne récite pas cette bénédiction, car nous sommes élevés parmi eux et les voyons constamment.
- 2Celui qui voit un lieu d'où l'idolâtrie a été éradiquée : s'il est en terre d'Israël, il dit : Baroukh ata Adonaï Eloheïnou melekh ha'olam ché‘akar avoda zara méartsénou. (…qui a déraciné l'idolâtrie de notre terre.) S’il est en dehors d’Israël, il dit : ché‘akar avoda zara mimakom hazé (…qui a déraciné l’idolâtrie de ce lieu). Dans les deux cas, on ajoute : Kéchem ché‘akarta ota mimakom hazé, kakh ta‘akor ota mikol hamekomot, véhachév lev ‘ovdéhem la‘avdécha. (De même que Tu l’as déracinée de ce lieu, déracine-la de tous les lieux et ramène le cœur de ses adorateurs à Te servir.) Note du Réma : Si l’idolâtrie a été retirée d’un lieu et placée ailleurs, on récite sur le lieu d'où elle a été ôtée : ché‘akar avoda zara (…qui a déraciné l’idolâtrie), et sur le lieu où elle a été placée : ché’natan érekh appaïm (…qui accorde patience) (selon le Beit Yossef au nom des Tosafot de Jérusalem).
- 3Celui qui voit Babylone la perverse dit : Baroukh ata Adonaï Eloheïnou melekh ha'olam ché’heriv Bavel harésha‘a. (…qui a détruit Babylone la perverse.) Celui qui voit la maison de Nabuchodonosor dit : Baroukh ché’heriv beto shel Nevoukhanetsar harasha‘. (…qui a détruit la maison de Nabuchodonosor le méchant.) - 4Celui qui voit un lieu en Babylonie où tout animal qui y passe ne peut s’en extraire, sauf si on met sur lui de la poussière de ce lieu – c’est un signe de malédiction, comme il est dit : « Je la balayerai avec le balai de destruction » – dit : Baroukh omer vé’ossé, baroukh gozer oumekayem. (Béni soit Celui qui dit et fait, béni soit Celui qui décrète et réalise.)
- 5Celui qui voit six cent mille Juifs rassemblés dit : Baroukh ata Adonaï Eloheïnou melekh ha'olam ‘hakhame hara’zim. (…qui est le Sage des secrets.) Et s’il s’agit de non-Juifs, il dit : « Honte à ta mère, confusion à celle qui t’a enfanté ; voilà la fin des nations, un désert, une steppe et une lande » (Jérémie 50,12).

הרואה מרקוליס או שאר עכו"ם אומר ברוך אתה ה' אלהינו מלך העולם שנתן ארך אפים לעוברי רצונו ואם רואה אותו בתוך ל' יום אינו חוזר ומברך: הגה והאידנא אין מברכים זאת הברכה שהרי אנו מגודלים ביניהם ורואים אותו תמיד:
הרואה מקום שנעקרה ממנה עכו"ם אם הוא בארץ ישראל אומר ברוך אתה ה' אלהינו מלך העולם שעקר ע"א מארצנו ואם הוא בחוצה לארץ אומר שעקר ע"א מהמקום הזה ואומר בשתיהן כשם שעקרת אותה מהמקום הזה כן תעקור אותה מכל המקומות והשב לב עובדיהם לעבדך: הגה ואם נעקרה עכו"ם ממקום א' ונתנוה במקום אחר מברך על מקום שנעקרה שעקר עכו"ם ועל מקום שנתנוה לשם שנתן ארך אפים (ב"י בשם תוס' ירוש'):
הרואה בבל הרשעה אומר ברוך אתה ה' אלהינו מלך העולם שהחריב בבל הרשעה. ראה ביתו של נבוכדנצר אומר ברוך שהחריב ביתו של נבוכדנצר הרשע. ראה גוב אריות או כבשן האש אומר ברוך שעשה נס לצדיקים במקום הזה: (וע"ל סי' רי"ח סעיף ז):
ראה מקום שיש בבבל שכל בהמה שתעבור עליו אינה יכולה לזוז משם אם לא יתנו עליה מעפר המקום ההוא והיא סימן קללה לה דכתיב וטאטאתיה במטאטי (פירוש מכבדות הבית שקובל"י בלע"ז) השמד אומר ברוך אומר ועושה ברוך גוזר ומקיים:

הרואה בתי עכו"ם בישובן אומר בית גאים יסח ה' בחרבנן אומר אל נקמות ה':
הרואה קברי ישראל אומר בא"י אמ"ה אשר יצר אתכם בדין וכו' ועל קברי עכו"ם אומר בושה אמכם וגו':
כל ברכות הראיה אם חזר וראה אותו דבר בתוך שלשים יום אינו חוזר ומברך:
