    Suffixes and possession

In Aramaic possession is usually marked by a suffix: "beitei" = his house, "berei" = his son. Also with "did-": "didi" = mine, "didakh" = yours, "dideih" = his.

    Insight

When a sugya gets confusing, ask "who is the 'he' here?". Identifying the speaker solves half the difficulty.

    Practice

Write a short Hebrew sentence ("he told me the house is his") and render it in Aramaic using the pronouns.
