Verse 1
שפטני — הקמני:
מגוי לא חסיד — הוא אדום שגר בין שני צדיקים ולא למד ממעשיהם:

שלח אורך ואמתך — מלך המשיח שנדמה לאור שנאמר (לקמן קל"ב) ערכתי נר למשיחי, ואליהו הנביא שהוא אמיתי נביא נאמן:
ינחוני — מינטרו"נט מו"י בלע"ז:

אל אל — אל הקב"ה שהוא שמחת גילי:
ואודך בכנור — על שהוצאתני:

Malbim's commentary
Verse 1
שפטני, ( חלק ג' ) עתה יתפלל על הגלות עצמו, הלא ראוי כי תשפטני אלהים ותריב ריבי מגוי לא חסיד, שאין בהם הכנה אל החסד כלל, כי טבעם מתנגד אל החסד בין אדם לחבירו, ובענין האמונות ודעות נמצאו בהם איש מרמה ועולה, הם הפילוסופים המעוולים הנכחה וכן הבונים הקישים מתעים ומופתי ההטעיה במרמה להכחיש את האמונות האמתיות, תפלטני בל אכשל ואמשך אחר טענותיהם וחקירותיהם המזויפות להכחיש עקרי האמונה:
Verse 2
כי אתה אלהי מעזי למה זנחתני, למעלה אמר אומרה לאל סלעי למה שכחתני, ששם מדבר מן ההנהגה הנסיית שזה קרא אל סלעי וזה שכח לגמרי, אבל פה מדבר מן ההגנה מן האויב שזה יוכל להיות גם ע"פ הטבע, וזה קרא אלהי מעוזי, וזה לא שכח לגמרי רק זנח לפי שעה, כמ"ש ואף גם זאת בהיותם בארץ אויביהם לא מאסתים וכו', ולמה קודר אתהלך בלחץ אויב ע"י קושי השעבוד:
Verse 3
שלח אורך, כי הגאולה תהיה, א — ע"י התגלות אור ה' נביאיו חשך, כמ"ש קומי אורי כי בא אורך, ועז"א שלח אורך, ב. ע"י ההבטחה שהבטיח ה' ע"י נביאיו, ועז"א ואמתך שהוא לאמת הבטחתו, ושני אלה המה ינחוני מן הגולה, ויביאוני אל הר קדשך שהוא הקיבוץ לציון, ואל משכונותיך שהוא בנין בית הבחירה:
Verse 4
ואבואה, ר"ל רק אל ההבאה לשם שנדחי ישראל יכנס צריך אני עזר ותשועה, אבל כשאהיה שם אבוא בעצמי אל מזבח אלהים להקריב קרבנותיו, ואבוא אל אל לראות פני ה' ע"י שהוא שמחת גילי ושם אודך בכנור אלהים אלהי :
Verse 5
מה תשתוחחי, גם ע"ז משיב, שהדבר תלוי באלהים ובעת רצון, וצריך ליחל לאלהים כי בודאי יקיים הבטחתו:

שׇׁפְטֵ֤נִי אֱלֹהִ֨ים׀ וְרִ֘יבָ֤ה רִיבִ֗י מִגּ֥וֹי לֹֽא־חָסִ֑יד מֵ֤אִישׁ־מִרְמָ֖ה וְעַוְלָ֣ה תְפַלְּטֵֽנִי׃
Vindicate me, O God, champion my cause against faithless people; rescue me from treacherous, dishonest opponents.
כִּי־אַתָּ֤ה׀ אֱלֹהֵ֣י מָעוּזִּי֮ לָמָ֢ה זְנַ֫חְתָּ֥נִי לָֽמָּה־קֹדֵ֥ר אֶתְהַלֵּ֗ךְ בְּלַ֣חַץ אוֹיֵֽב׃
For You are my God, my stronghold; why have You rejected me? Why must I walk in gloom, oppressed by the enemy?
שְׁלַח־אוֹרְךָ֣ וַ֭אֲמִתְּךָ הֵ֣מָּה יַנְח֑וּנִי יְבִיא֥וּנִי אֶל־הַֽר־קׇ֝דְשְׁךָ֗ וְאֶל־מִשְׁכְּנוֹתֶֽיךָ׃
Send forth Your light and Your truth; they will lead me; they will bring me to Your holy mountain, to Your dwelling-place,
וְאָב֤וֹאָה׀ אֶל־מִזְבַּ֬ח אֱלֹהִ֗ים אֶל־אֵל֮ שִׂמְחַ֢ת גִּ֫ילִ֥י וְאוֹדְךָ֥ בְכִנּ֗וֹר אֱלֹהִ֥ים אֱלֹהָֽי׃
that I may come to the altar of God, God, my delight, my joy; that I may praise You with the lyre, O God, my God.
מַה־תִּשְׁתּ֬וֹחֲחִ֨י׀ נַפְשִׁי֮ וּֽמַה־תֶּהֱמִ֢י עָ֫לָ֥י הוֹחִ֣ילִי לֵ֭אלֹהִים כִּי־ע֣וֹד אוֹדֶ֑נּוּ יְשׁוּעֹ֥ת פָּ֝נַ֗י וֵאלֹהָֽי׃ {פ}
Why so downcast, my soul, why disquieted within me? Have hope in God; I will yet give praise, my ever-present help, my God.
