שמע — שם דבר הוא כמו שמע בסגול ומפני האתנחתא הוא נקוד קמץ גדול ולכך טעמו למעלה תחת השי"ן: סליק ספר תהלים:

Malbim's commentary
Verse 1
הללו אל בקדשו, עפ"י הדברים שהלל עד הנה, יאמר הנה יש שני מיני הלולים, הילול א. שיהללוהו בקדשו, היינו לפי ההנהגה בקדש למעלה מן הטבע, שהיא ההנהגה ע"י המלאכים ושם קדשו. ב. הללוהו ברקיע עוזו, שהיא ההנהגה הסדורה על ידי הרקיע והגלגל והמערכה עפ"י הטבע:
Verse 2
הללוהו, נגד הראשון אמר הללוהו בגבורותיו, ונגד השני אמר הללוהו כרוב גדלו, שאז לא יעשה גבורות להתגבר ולשדד את הטבע רק ינהיג כפי גדלו אשר ערך בעת הבריאה:
Verse 3
(ג-ד) הללוהו, עפ"ז יעמדו שני מיני הלולים, אם יהללו בקדשו ובגבורותיו, שזה יהיה לעתיד שיהיו עם קרובו, ואז יהללו בתוף ומחול לרמז שה' הוא ראש המחול, בכ"ז יהללו ג"כ תקע שופר שמורה החרדה שיפחדו מיראת ה' ורוממותו ובנבל וכנור שמורה השמחה ויהללו בתוף ובמחול, והשם יהיה ראש חולה לצדיקים, ההלול השני אם יהללו במנים ועוגב ויהללו בצלצלי שמע, והוא בעת שיתנהג עמם בדרך הטבע שאז יהללו ברקיע עוזו וכרוב גדלו, ואז לא ישמחו שמחת המחול על השראת השכינה ביניהם, בכ"ז יהללו בצלצלי תרועה, שהתרועה מורה החרדה מפני השבר, וייראו מה' פחד העונש, בענין שבשני מיני ההילולים יהיה או שופר או תרועה, שופר מורה על יראת הרוממות, ותרועה מורה על יראת העונש, ותהיה היראה בלולה עם השמחה ע"ד וגילו ברעדה:
Verse 6
כל הנשמה, אולם בכל אופן תתפשט תהלת ה' ממרום קדשו עד כללות כל הבוראים, עד שכל הנשמה תהלל יה, וכן על כל נשימה ונשימה שישאפו רוח חיים וחסד, יהללו את ה' על חסדיו וטובותיו ומעשיו ונפלאותיו כי לא כלו רחמיו וחסדיו לא יתמו:

הַ֥לְלוּ־יָ֨הּ׀ הַֽלְלוּ־אֵ֥ל בְּקׇדְשׁ֑וֹ הַֽ֝לְל֗וּהוּ בִּרְקִ֥יעַ עֻזּֽוֹ׃
Hallelujah. Give praise in the divine sanctuary; give praise in the sky, the divine stronghold.
הַלְל֥וּהוּ בִגְבוּרֹתָ֑יו הַ֝לְל֗וּהוּ כְּרֹ֣ב גֻּדְלֽוֹ׃
Give praise for mighty acts; give praise for exceeding greatness.
הַ֭לְלוּהוּ בְּתֵ֣קַע שׁוֹפָ֑ר הַ֝לְל֗וּהוּ בְּנֵ֣בֶל וְכִנּֽוֹר׃
Give praise with blasts of the horn; give praise with harp and lyre.
הַ֭לְלוּהוּ בְּתֹ֣ף וּמָח֑וֹל הַֽ֝לְל֗וּהוּ בְּמִנִּ֥ים וְעֻגָֽב׃
Give praise with hand-drum and dance; give praise with lute and pipe.
הַלְל֥וּהוּ בְצִלְצְלֵי־שָׁ֑מַע הַֽ֝לְל֗וּהוּ בְּֽצִלְצְלֵ֥י תְרוּעָֽה׃
Give praise with resounding cymbals; give praise with loud-clashing cymbals.
כֹּ֣ל הַ֭נְּשָׁמָה תְּהַלֵּ֥ל יָ֗הּ הַֽלְלוּ־יָֽהּ׃
Let all that breathes praise Yah. Hallelujah.
