<b>אם נתרבו הגשמים עד שמטשטשין הקרקע איך מתנהגים. ובו סעיף אחד:</b><br>בכל מקום אם רוב גשמים מטשטשים הקרקע ומונעים המחרישה מתריעין ומבקשים רחמים ואם הענין נחפז ואין פנאי להתריע כסדר שאר תעניו' אין גוזרין בו תעני' על הצבור שאין הצבור יכולים להתענו' בכל יום אלא מתריעין בכל יום ובכל תפלה ובהתרעה בפה די ואם היחידים רוצים להתענו' רשאים הם בכך ובהתרעת הפה דהיינו בעננו אבינו עננו אומר יהי רצון מלפניך יי אלהינו ואלהי אבותינו שיכבשו רחמיך את כעסך ויגולו רחמיך על מדותיך ותתנהג עם בניך במדת רחמים ותכנס להם לפנים משור' הדין ובטובך הגדול רחם עליהם שאין פורעניו' בא לעולם אלא בשביל ישראל והם עמך ונחלתך אשר הוצא' מארץ מצרים ואינם יכולים לקבל לא רוב רעה ולא רוב טובה השפעת עליהם רוב טובה אינם יכולים לקבל כעסת עליהם אינם יכולים לקבל יהי רצון שיהא ריוח בעולם וזכור רחמיך:

If the rains intensify until the ground is blurred, how do we behave? In one paragraph: In every place, if most rains blur the ground and prevent the plow from operating, warnings are issued, and pleas for mercy are made. If the matter is urgent and there is no time to issue a formal warning, like other fasts, no communal fast is decreed upon the public, as the public cannot fast every day. Instead, warnings are issued every day, in every prayer, and through verbal announcements. It is sufficient. However, if individuals wish to fast, they are allowed to do so, with verbal announcements, meaning they say, 'Our Father, our Father, may it be Your will, Lord our God and God of our fathers, that Your mercy conquers Your anger, and Your mercy prevails over Your attributes. Deal with Your children with mercy and enter before them with the measure of mercy, more than the measure of strict justice. In Your great goodness, have mercy upon them, for disasters come into the world only for the sake of Israel, and they are Your people and Your inheritance, whom You brought out of the land of Egypt. They cannot endure either excessive evil or excessive good. They cannot accept an abundance of good, nor can they withstand Your wrath. May it be Your will that there be tranquility in the world, and remember Your mercy.
